J.L. and Betty Wall of Clovis will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 19, 2005 at Trinity United Methodist Church.
The celebration will be hosted by their children and grandsons.
The couple was married on Feb. 13, 1955 in Melrose.
They have 3 children, and 5 grandsons.
He is a local farmer and rancher.
She is a homemaker.
The celebration is open to friends and relatives.

Carmeltia Sandoval of Clovis celebrated her 98th birthday Feb. 10, 2005.
The celebration was hosted by her children, Virginia Quintana (and husband Manuel) of Clovis, Rita Romero (Levy) of Albuquerque, Pauline Nino (Benny) of Amarillo, Carmen Rael (Severo) of Clovis, Manuel Sandoval (Tina) of Albuquerque, Trennie Lucero of Clovis, and Lorrie Sandoval of Clovis.
She was born on Feb. 10, 1907, in Anton Chico.
She has seven children; 28 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Club Notes
Grady Alpha Extension Club
Grady Alpha Extension Club met Feb. 1 at the Grady Senior Building at 1:30 p.m. Hostesses were Katy Mackechnie, Suzy Powell and Valinda Wilson. The meeting was called to order by Mackechnie. A prayer was offered by Gwen Allen. Wanda Page read the minutes of the last meeting, and Powell gave the treasurer’s report.
It was noted that the Grady club has clean-up duty after the membership event in April. Also every club must provide food for the event.
March is club program exchange. The Melrose club will host the Grady club this year.
Glenda Belcher, county home economist, presented the program on building a strong credit record. She said to check our credit report regularly. There will be a District meeting May 4-5 in Portales on information about the state organizations.
The next meeting is March 1 at 1:30 p.m. at Grady Senior Building hosted by Maxine Grau and Margie Woods.
Plains Regional Medical Center Auxiliary
The Plains Regional Medical Center Auxilary installed new officers at a recent ceremony held in the Caduceus Room.
They were Celina Snider, president; Phyllis Davidson, president-elect; Emily Pearson, secretary; Waunita Jones, treasurer; and Viola Fickling, member-at-large. New officers were installed by Rhonda Murdock, administrative secretary.
There were 37 auxilians present with 2 visitors from Ruidoso Auxiliary.
End of the year reports were given by Ivana Jones, gift shop; Harold Fecdhter, bookkeeper; Waunita Jones, treasurer; Robbie Williams, scholarships; Jody Skeen, chaplaincy; Celina Snider, membership and fundraising; and Dell Gunnells, service points. Lillis Garner was presented with a gold star as auxilian for the month of January.

Modern Woodmen of America
Local Modern Woodmen of America families gathered on Jan. 15 to learn more about how to detect high blood pressure. The program, which was held at Something Different Grill in Clovis, also discussed what to do if you have high blood pressure. This presentation was a family life programs Modern Woodmen camps (chapters) present nationwide. Family life programs provide the origination’s members with information about health, safety, parenting and other family-related issues.
