Brittany D. Sparks of Portales and J.T. Ashby of Tulsa, Okla., were joined in marriage May 27, 2006, at the First Baptist Church of Fort Sumner.
The Rev. Coy Brewer performed the wedding.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Cynthia Sparks of Portales.
The bridegroom is the son of Don and Donna Ashby of Carrizozo.
Maid of honor was Katey Anderson. Bestman was Scott M. Ashby. Ringbearer was Dustin B. Sparks. The candle lighters were the mothers of the bride and groom.
The couple will reside in Tulsa, Okla.
The bride is employed as a veterinarian assistant. She graduated from Portales High School in 2004 and attended college at West Texas A&M University. The groom is employed as a master welder. He graduated from Melrose High School in 2002. He also graduated from Tulsa Welding School with an associate of occupational studies in welding technology with major’s in master welder and welding QA/QC inspector.
