Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
Around noon Tuesday officers were dispatched to a bank in the 2700 block of North Prince Street for a bomb scare. Management said they received a phone call from a female who said a man was coming to rob the bank using a fake bomb. Management evacuated customers, locked the building and called police were called. A uniformed officer stayed at the bank and it was reopened. The case is under investigation.

About 3 p.m. Tuesday officers responded to an accident involving a bicyclist at Prince and 21st streets. Witnesses said a juvenile attempted to cross Prince Street while oncoming traffic had a green light and was struck by a pick-up truck. He was thrown into the air on impact. The driver of the vehicle said she could not stop in time. The juvenile did not complain of injuries. No citations were issued.

Around 1 a.m. Wednesday officers were dispatched to a home in the 400 block of Hinkle. The woman said she caught a male taking one of her son’s stereo speakers from the garage and confronted him. The suspect put the speaker back, jumped the fence and got into a vehicle and drove away. The case is under investigation.

About 6 p.m. Thursday officers responded to a business in the 1400 block of Seventh Street for a report of a missing vehicle. The woman said a car was missing and none of her employees knew where it was. Around 7:30 p.m. the woman called police and said she had found her car in the parking area of an apartment complex. The car was returned to the owner and the case is under investigation.
