Clovis man sentence for 10th DWI conviction

A Clovis man was sentenced Friday to 2 1/2 years in prison after pleading guilty to his 10th DWI, according to a press release from the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s office.

Steve Madrigal, 50, was arrested in May 2005 during a traffic stop, the release said. At the time of the arrest, Madrigal’s blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit, the release said. His DWI arrests spanned almost 30 years, the release said.

Prosecutors asked the court for the maximum sentence of three years, the release said.
