Reid wins with 12-under total

LAS CRUCES — Clovis High grad Travis Reid shot a 36-hole score of 132, 12 under par, to take a four-shot victory over former CHS teammate Robert Goff in the fifth annual Messilla Valley Amateur golf tournament at New Mexico State Univesity’s golf course.

Reid, who transferred to NMSU this fall from the University of New Mexico, shot 66 on both days of the tournament. Goff, who graduated from NMSU in the spring, was five strokes ahead of Freddy Esparza and Andrew Gulick, who tied for third in Championship Flight.
