City youth football, flag football and adult volleyball registrations taking place

Football Tryouts

City League football tryouts are being held Saturday at Portales’ City Park. Third and fourth graders will take the field at 9 a.m. followed by fifth graders and sixth graders at 1 p.m. The cost is $60 per child and players can register at the Portales Recreation Center through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Players can also register at City Park Saturday morning. Flag Football

Adult Co-Ed Volleyball

The deadline to register an adult co-ed volleyball team is Sept. 5. Games will take place Monday nights at Clovis’ Roy Walker Gymnasium, starting Sept. 10.
