Bamby Hays of Clovis was selected to receive the John Batcheller Award for Excellence in Teaching Elementary School Music at the 2008 New Mexico Music Educators Association all-state convention, according to the Clovis Municipal Schools’ music department August newsletter.
Hays teaches at Sandia Elementary.
Clovis’ Wayne Anderson will be receiving the School Administrator Award at the same convention.
