Local Roundup: Employee tapped for music commission

A Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce employee has been appointed by the governor to serve on the New Mexico Music Commission.

Liz Eisenbraun, marketing director and special events coordinator, has worked to preserve and promote Clovis’ music history through the Clovis Music Festival and development of the Norman and Vi Petty Rock N’ Roll Museum, according to the release.

The position is a volunteer position, the release said.

Created by Gov. Bill Richardson in 2005, the release said the commission works to preserve New Mexico’s music heritage and to assist the music industry within the state.
