Samplings of recent reports filed by Clovis-area law enforcement officers:
About noon Dec. 5 an officer responded to a store in the 1900 block of Prince Street for a report of shoplifting.
A store manager said two young males in their late teens came in and took two bottles of liquor. She said they got into a vehicle and left.
The officer took suspect descriptions.

About 6:30 p.m. Dec. 5 an officer responded to a home in the 1200 block of Dale for a report of theft.
A woman said she left her purse in her vehicle and went into a residence to pick up her children. She said when she came out her purse was missing.
She said the vehicle was locked. The officer could not find any evidence of breaking and entering.

Around 2 a.m. Dec. 6 an officer responded to a store in the 1500 block of Mabry Drive for a panic alarm.
A clerk told the officer she saw merchandise in a man’s pocket.
The clerk said when she confronted the man he gave her two bottles of salsa, snack treats and mayonnaise he had in his pockets.
The man was arrested.

Around 3:30 p.m. Dec. 6 an officer responded to a school in the 100 block of Commerce Way for a problem with a student.
A teacher said a 14-year-old boy was giving her trouble and she thought he tried to kick her.
The boy was taken to the office. When he was told his father was coming to get him and he was being suspended, he began punching the wall.
The officer issued the youth a citation for disorderly conduct and released him to his father.

Around 8 p.m. Dec. 6 an officer reported to a school in the 1900 block of Thornton to serve an arrest warrant on a student.
The officer made contact with the youth and arrested him. While he was patting down the 15-year-old, the officer found a cellophane wrapper with cocaine residue in his pocket.
The boy told the officer he had snorted cocaine two hours before.
The youth was taken to the juvenile detention center and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
