A Clovis High School senior whose father is assigned to Cannon Air Force Base has been selected for membership in the National Society of High School Scholars, according to an NSHSS news release.

Christopher Boyce, 18, is the son of Master Sgt. Christopher and Martina Boyce.

Master Sgt. Christopher Boyce, Weapons Section Superintendent for the 27th Special Operations Wing, has been stationed at Cannon for almost three years. His son is scheduled to graduate Sunday from Clovis High School.

NSHSS recognizes top scholars and invites only those students who have achieved superior academic excellence, the news release said.

“On behalf of NSHSS, I am honored to recognize the hard work, sacrifice and commitment that Christopher Boyce has demonstrated to achieve this exceptional level of academic excellence,” said Claes Nobel, NSHSS founder and chairman. “Christopher Boyce is now a member of a unique community of scholars — a community that represents our very best hope for the future.”

Membership in NSHSS entitles qualified students to enjoy a wide variety of benefits, including scholarship opportunities, academic competitions, free events, member-only resources, publications, participation in programs offered by educational partners, online forums, personalized recognition items and publicity honors, the news release said.
