Altrusa

Altrusa International Inc. of Clovis received the Distinguished Club Award at the District 10 Conference held May 1-3 in Clovis.

The Distinguished Club award recognizes a club’s activity and productivity at every level of program involvement.

Mary Weigl, vice president said some of the programs local Altrusans were involved in are “First Time Mothers,” which provides young mothers ages 12-20 with baby baskets, “Fresh Start,” a program that provides domestic abuse survivors with a laundry basket containing household items, “Meals on Wheels,” a senior meal program.

The group also helps with the Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico.
