Law enforcement seizes two more meth labs

Law enforcement seized ingredients and equipment used to manufacture methamphetamine Sunday at two locations in Roosevelt County, according to a press release from the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office.

Roosevelt County Sheriff Darren Hooker said two suspects in the case were arrested on outstanding warrants. He said investigators are pursuing warrants for the manufacture of methamphetamine against the suspects.

He said the investigation is continuing.

“One of my deputies was called to one of the locations for an unrelated incident and as a result of that contact, and subsequent interviews, the two search warrants were sought,” Hooker said.

The warrants were served at locations on N.M. 267 (Floyd Highway) and South Roosevelt Road V. Officers from RCSO, Region V Drug Task Force and New Mexico State Police participated.

Agents had been looking at both locations due to suspicions raised from the sale of ephedrine pill purchases in Roosevelt and Curry counties, Hooker said.

“I credit both the Meth Watch program and the sharing of information between our law enforcement agencies for the success in bringing these labs down,” Hooker said.
