The third annual High Plains Quilt Festival will be held from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Oct. 17-18 at the Memorial Building.

Organizers say they expect about 200 entries. In addition to quilts, vendors will display products, and seminars and demonstrations will be offered.

Amy Armenta, local quilter and artist, will teach the double mystery quilt class. Pre-registration and a minimal fee is required.

This year’s featured quilter is Marilyn Ford of Tucumcari.

This year’s featured teacher is Sally Schneider of Albuquerque. She will be teaching built-in borders on Oct. 16, before the show opens. The cost is $50. Pre-registration is required.
