Marijuana found at jail

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the weekend discovery of a small amount of marijuana at the Curry County Adult Detention Center.

Records show a deputy was dispatched to the jail around 8 p.m. Saturday when detention officers reported finding the drugs during an announced search.

Undersheriff Wesley Waller said the officers found a small baggy of marijuana hidden within an unoccupied bunk in a high security pod.
