Church hosting child gift drive

National collection week for Operation Christmas Child is Nov. 17-24.

Operation Christmas Child is a project of the international Christian relief organization Samaritan’s Purse, which supplies needy children worldwide with Christmas presents.

The project delivers 8 million gift-filled shoe boxes to children in more than 100 countries, according to an organization news release.

Local volunteers can fill shoe boxes with presents and take them to Parkland Baptist Church at 921 Parkland Dr.

• Friday and Saturday — 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

• Sunday — Noon-3 p.m.

• Monday — 8 a.m.-noon
