the shadowy intruder

boss i ve discovered that it s

not wise to watch scary spooky

horror shows on tv just before

you go to bed – your nerves

are on edge your eyes are

bloodshot and your heart

is racing to beat the band

how do you calm down

enough to float lazily

downstream on the river

of blissful sleep – question

mark here boss

after an hour or two of fitful

starts and stops i finally drifted

off into more of a twilight

zone than a happy dreamland

i found myself in a realm

of shadows darting

here and there and

everywhere

shadows that creaked and

moaned wailed and groaned

– how can shadows make

noise anyway boss – especially

eerie scary noises like these

– question mark with a shiver

to get away from the darting

screaming shadows i hid in a

corner behind the kitchen

garbage can but to no avail boss

even though it was darker than

anywhere else the shadows

still flittered and flew by

here s one

there s one

one overhead

one under foot

shadows here and there

and everywhere

suddenly a large

misshapened shadow

rose up over the garbage

can lid and i nearly

passed out from fright

right on the site

amos amos looky here

the strange shape says

but I tried to run away and

hide
