Deli to stay open

The Wholey Cow Deli will stay open under new management.

Renea and David Hughes of Clovis said they lease the deli, which was scheduled to close Friday.

Located on the corner of Seventh and Pile streets, the business opened in 2004.

“We think they have a fantastic product and we hated to see it close,” David Hughes said. He said the couple was looking to open a business.

He said the restaurant will use the same name and menu.

Owner Margaret George announced last week she was going to close the restaurant to spend more time with her family and concentrate on her other business.
