Council will meet in executive session

The Portales City Council is holding a special meeting at 1 p.m. Friday at City Hall to name a replacement for Ward B Councilor Jake L. Lopez.

Lopez’ last meeting was Tuesday. He resigned to serve on the Roosevelt County Commission.
