A cutting torch set off a fire Sunday afternoon that destroyed a 15-by-20 foot workshop in Roosevelt County.
The fire started about 3:30 p.m.
Portales Fire Department Battalion Chief Lance Hill said the men working on the small barn at 1684 South Roosevelt Road 6 were unable to contain the fire.
Firefighters responding to the scene were able to contain the fire inside the structure, Hill said.
