Committee planning centennial events

The City of Portales is holding a 100 Years Committee meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall. Community members are invited to join the committee to help organize summer events to celebrate Portales’ 100th anniversary this year. The city was incorporated in 1909.
