High Plains Film Festival features professional workshops

Eastern New Mexico University is hosting the second annual High Plains Film Festival 8 a.m. Sunday in the University Theatre Center.

Special guests are ENMU alumni and professional actors Michelle Tomlinson and Landall Goolsby, as well as documentary filmmaker Erin Hudson and producer Jon LeBlanc.

The festival begins with workshops presented by industry professionals. Workshops require pre-registration. The Film Festival begins at 8 a.m. with a Documentary Production Workshop with Hudson of Rotation Films and LeBlanc. At 10:15 a.m., students participate in an Acting for the Camera Workshop with Tomlinson, Goolsby and LeBlanc.

There is a lunch with industry professionals afterward.

At 2 p.m., films and clips from the workshop presenters and ENMU students and faculty are screened, followed by a question and answer session with filmmakers.

A reception follows at 4 p.m.
