USDA offers workshops

Farmers can sign up for a U.S. Department of Agriculture 2009 Producer Sustainable Workshop on Aug. 26 in Clovis.

The event focuses on resource management that illustrates several conservation practices, and includes hands-on experience. Natural Resources Conservation Service agronomist Rudy Garcia said the steps the workshop outlines are critical to sustainability.
