Melrose student honored

Caleb Dodd of Melrose has been chosen as one of 50 participants in the National FFA Organization 2009 New Century Farmer Program.

Dodd is an Eastern New Mexico University student majoring in general agriculture. He plans to work on his family’s farm after college and expand operations using technology.

This year’s New Century Farmers will take part in an informational and networking seminar July 13-17 in Johnston, Iowa.
