Bingaman to host health care town hall meeting

U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M., is scheduled to host a health care town hall meeting at 4:15 p.m. today at the Clovis Civic Center.

Bingaman will discuss the effort in Congress to reform health insurance as a means of containing rapidly rising health care costs and hear from constituents, according to a news release from his office.

The senator is expected to give the keynote speech at 11:45 a.m. at the New Mexico State University Agricultural Science Center’s field day and discuss the future of the Ute Water Pipeline with the Eastern New Mexico Rural Water Authority at 2:15 p.m. at the Clovis Civic Center.
