Zero tolerance policy in place for animals on school grounds
School days are upon the children of Clovis. But not everybody’s welcome on school grounds.
The city’s animal control officers have implemented a zero tolerance policy for animals on school zones. A school zone, according to the department, is any school and a three-block radius.
Any animal that is not in an enclosed area and is not being walked is considered running at large. Checks are made at 8 a.m., when animal control officers go on duty.
The Clovis Police Department is asking owners to make sure all fences are secure and animals have current rabies shots.
