Thursday morning briefing: Ethnic fair needs help and Billy the Kid busted

Good morning and welcome to the Freedom New Mexico Thursday morning briefing.

Fair needs help

Selmus Price, the director of the Clovis Ethnic Fair, is looking for volunteers to help with

set-up and tear down at the fair this week.

Below are the times he needs help. To volunteer call Price at 575-749-6570:

Friday – 5-6:30 p.m.

Saturday - 7:30-9 a.m. and 4:30-5:30 p.m.

ENMU homecoming game is Texas A&M-Commerce vs. ENMU Greyhounds at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greyhound Stadium.

On this day in 1875, Billy the Kid is arrested for the first time after stealing a basket of laundry.

He later broke out of jail and roamed the American West, eventually earning a reputation as an outlaw and murderer and a rap sheet that allegedly included 21 murders.
