Habitat for Humanity of Roosevelt and Curry Counties has scheduled the groundbreaking ceremony for its ninth house for 8:30 a.m. Saturday at 310 E. Kaywood St.
The ceremony is open to the public, and attendees can meet the family who is to help build and receive the home.
The house is the sixth in Portales. Habitat volunteers have built three homes in Clovis.
