EPCOG updates policies

Members unanimously approved six policy updates during a special meeting Tuesday of the Eastern Plains Council of Government’s executive committee.

The policies updated were: a Workforce Investment Act policy and procedures manual, a disaster and recovery plan, a teleworking policy, fiscal monitoring and procedures and records retention and a public access policy.

Director Richard Arguello said a WIA audit revealed the policies needed to be updated and that policy changes had been reviewed and approved by the Department of Labor and Workforce Solutions.

The agenda indicated an executive session was to be held during the meeting to discuss personnel matters, however members said they did not see a need to go into executive session.

EPCOG Executive Assistant Sandy Chancey said she placed the executive session on the agenda in case members needed to hold one and that it would be listed on all agendas.
