Thanks offered for community’s help

James Salgado of Portales took time to thank those who helped him attend a baseball camp in Florida during the holiday break:

Christmas gifts come in many packages. Mine came in the form of a great opportunity. During Christmas break I went to a baseball camp in Bradenton, Fla, called the Pirate City Christmas Camp and Tournament.

I never would have been able to go if it weren't for the help of my family, friends, local Portales businesses, and their generous patrons for their donations and support. I appreciate you all. Every little bit helped pay for my trip.

Thanks again for helping me achieve my goal. I hope all your dreams and aspirations are fulfilled this New Year.
