Band members to perform at state music convention

Fourteen members of the Clovis High School Band were recently selected through a state-wide audition process to attend and perform at the All-State Music Convention being held this week at the University of New Mexico.

Once they arrive at the convention, they will practice for four days in preparation for the final concert being held 6 p.m. Saturday in the University of New Mexico Popejoy Hall. The concert is open to the public.

Emily Wickham, Cameron Stewart, Joann Knowlden, Hanna Flatow, Anjelica Papageorgiou, Josh Thakrah, Becky Taylor, Kevin Huang were selected for all state concert band.

Chance O’Shea, Rebecca Dewbre, Bryan Wygant, Shane Dalton and Joshua Wickham were selected for all state symphonic band.

Jacob Marin was selected for all state symphony orchestra.
