Bids for a $5.7 million addition are set for opening 9 a.m. today at Clovis Community College.

Officials said they have received nine bids for building the second phase of the Allied Heath project.

Tom Drake, executive director for business and government relations, said the bids will go through an evaluation process, where criteria such as price, general experience, past history and performance will be considered. The board of trustees will choose a bid at their Feb. 2 meeting.

Drake said the second phase of the Allied Health project will be a 22,000-square-foot building, planned for north of the first phase and used for the nursing program.
