Last time out: ENMU won at then 19th-ranked West Texas A&M 73-70 on Saturday, its first road win over the Buffaloes since 2004. The Mustangs, who had been ranked 23rd but dropped out of the NCAA Division II poll this week, snapped a two-game losing streak on Saturday with an 84-62 win over Abilene Christian.

Last meeting: Midwestern swept ENMU last season, winning 75-57 at home and 66-59 in Portales.

Of note: The Mustangs were one of four LSC teams in the Division II Top 25 prior to this week. Incarnate Word moved up from 12th to ninth this week, Central Oklahoma went from 15th to 13th and WT dropped from 19th to 23rd after suffering its first two losses. … The Mustangs are 8-0 at home this season. … Midwestern’s top player is 5-9 senior G Chris Hagan, who leads the LSC in scoring (23.2 ppg) and is second in assists (4.8 apg). Also averaging in double figures is 6-1 junior G Michael Loyd (13.3 ppg), who has come off the bench in 10 of his 15 games. … Midwestern shoots 50 percent from the floor and is outscoring its opponents roughly 80-62 per game.
