• Last time out: The Greyhounds lost at home to Tarleton State 77-53 on Saturday, while the Rams were edged by West Texas A&M 62-59 at San Angelo, Texas.
• Last meeting: The Rams took both matchups last season against ENMU, holding off the Hounds in a 92-88 shootout at Greyhound Arena and posting an 84-72 victory at San Angelo.
• Of note: The Hounds have dropped two in a row following a four-game winning streak. … Tonight’s game is important for both squads in terms of the LSC tournament. They are part of a four-way tie for third place with West Texas A&M and Midwestern State, and the top four teams in the division will qualify. … ASU has split six overtime games this season, including a triple OT loss to St. Mary’s on Dec. 8. Both of the Rams’ South wins have been in OT, over Midwestern State and Texas A&M-Kingsville. … Angelo started 0-6 this season, but none of the losses was by more than eight points. … LaMarshall Corbett, a 6-foot-3 senior G who led the LSC in scoring last season (23.4 ppg), averaged 21.8 this year though 12 games, but he was suspended for a team violation prior to the ASU’s South opener and hasn’t played since. Others in double figures are 6-6 senior F Ridge McKeither (18.8 ppg), 6-5 senior G Richard Thomas (15.1) and 6-0 senior G Steven Moore (10.6).
