At their Friday meeting, the Eastern New Mexico University Board of Regents granted permission to hire an architectural firm to tear down the Lincoln Hall residency building and build a new building for freshman residents.
The facility will contain 360 beds. President Steven Gamble said the university still has to obtain permission from the Higher Education Board before hiring a firm. Building is expected to begin at the end of the year.
