Accomplishments: Since May 2010, Airman First Class Hayworth has been turning the heads of many supervisors and leaders. As a dedicated Air Commando, he was selected as a “Sharp Troop” nominee during squadron formations as well as a nominee for the coveted Diamond Sharp Award presented by the First Sergeant’s Council. He completed required job skill training six months ahead of schedule, producing an outstanding 92 percent on his end of course exams. He is working on his Community College of the Air Force degree in fire science at Clovis Community College. He is also dedicated to welcoming new Air Commandos to the base. Hayworth has stepped up to become a sponsor and a lead trainer for all incoming firefighters. During the recent cold spell, Hayworth was a valuable part of the team during a pipe burst at the base clinic. His quick actions prevented water damage to $25,000 of computer and lab equipment. When he is not supporting the Special Operations mission he is giving his own time to support our community. Hayworth has volunteered over 100 hours at various schools to teach fire safety and tutor young children, professionally representing the 27th Special Operations Wing and the United States Air Force.
