Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
Heritage Days was fun last weekend with its live music, fresh food and lemonade and vintage cars. Call me simplistic but the lemonade was one of my favorite parts. I definitely don’t mind having to attend family events for work.
For another family event, check out DairyFest Saturday in Clovis from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Curry County Events Center. It sounds like a great time for family fun with its booths, games, music and food.
More family and young adult fun is happening Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. at the Lyceum Theater. A group will perform skits and games and musical guest Travis Erwin will be performing live music. The show is free but will welcome donations for the restoration of the Lyceum Theater.
Being a part of the improv group, I can vouch for the fact that it promises to be fun. I have never had so much fun being part of a group activity and organization as I’ve had with this one.
After all, how many times in your life do you get asked to pretend to be a gay pirate or a redneck Juliet?
If that doesn’t capture your interest, I don’t know what will.
