Our people: Resident enjoys helping veterans

Liliana Castillo: Freedom New Mexico Beverly Miller can be seen wearing red, white and blue nearly every day.

Clovis resident Beverly Miller is involved in a number of auxiliary groups for veterans in the area and Friendship Senior Center. She said she enjoys her work and wouldn’t change it for the world. Miller, 76, can be seen wearing red, white and blue almost every day.

“I love it,” she said. “There’s nothing better than supporting the men and women who have fought for our country.”

Her husband Bob Miller served in the Air Force and worked as a volunteer firefighter when the family was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

Each month, Miller helps with a breakfast as American Legion Post 25 hosts each month on the first Saturday.
