Family recipes featured on show

Information on new products to keep you healthy, making a ruched bias tape flower pin, and family traditions and recipes will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” on Tuesday, September 27th at 9:30 p.m. and on Thursday, September 29th at 12:00 noon. (All times are Mountain.)

Laura Dellutri will share some new products on the market to keep you healthy, including air purifiers, toothbrush sanitizers and humidifiers. Her company is The Healthy Housekeeper, Inc. in Overland Park, KS.

Michele Muska is with Simplicity Creative Group in Antioch, TN., and she’s going to show how to make bias strips using a new Simplicity Bias Tape Maker machine. Then she’ll show how to make a ruched bias tape flower pin.

Charlene Patton is with the Home Baking Assn. in Topeka, KS., and she loves to talk about family traditions and recipes that can be shared and passed from generation to generation. She’ll demonstrate a favorite from her newest cookbook “Baking with Friends.”

Information on sewing on sheer fabrics, using packaged gravy mixes, and operating systems in window treatments will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” on Tuesday, September 27th at 12:00 noon and on Saturday, October 1st at 2:00 p.m. (All times are Mountain.)

Becky Hanson, Education Manager with the Singer Sewing Company, knows first-hand that sewing on sheer fabrics -- like organza, chiffon and tulle -- can be very challenging. She'll show how to stabilize these fabrics, and explain which needles, threads and stitches work best. She’s from LaVergne, TN.

Kathy Moore is a home economist with Williams Foods, Inc. and she will demonstrate some great uses for packaged gravy mixes -- besides making delicious gravy. Moore is from Lenexa, KS.

Joe Jankoski is with Hunter-Douglas Window Fashions, and he will explain how the operating systems in window treatments have been drastically improved for safety, and he has samples to show. Jankoski is from Upper Saddle River, NJ.
