Ticket feature: Vienna Boys Choir to perform in Clovis

The Vienna Boys Choir has performed worldwide and included the compositions of famous composers such as Haydn, Mozart, Bruckner and Schubert.

The Clovis Community College and Citizens Bank of Clovis Cultural Arts Series will present the Vienna Boys Choir 7 p.m. Feb. 14 at Marshall Auditorium.

The Vienna Boys Choir has been an phenomenon of excellence and cultural presence for more than 500 years, according to press release from Clovis Community College.

The group was founded by Emperor Maximilian I in 1498. They have performed compositions from Haydn, Mozart, Bruckner and Schubert worldwide.

Six centuries later, the gifted musicians with voices of unforgettable beauty carry on the tradition as the world's pre-eminent boy's choir, the release said.

The group continues to delight music-lovers across the globe and thrilling audiences young and old, with the purity of tone, distinctive charm and a diverse crowd pleasing repertoire that encompasses Austrian folk songs and waltzes, classical masterpieces, beloved pop songs, holiday favorites and medieval chants.
