Officials looking into vehicle fire

Portales firefighters and police officers responded to a vehicle fire at 7:44 p.m. Tuesday on Community Way, according to Portales Police Department officials.

A Ford Explorer caught fire in a business area, department officials said.

Police Detective Colby Morgan said no one was in the vehicle at the time of the fire and reported no injuries.

Morgan said the incident is under investigation.
