Press release: Amber alert issued for Fort Worth-area 11-year old

Santa Fe — In cooperation with the Fort Worth Texas Police Department, New Mexico State Police is issuing the following Amber Alert in New Mexico based on information that the child may have been brought into New Mexico.

Fort Worth Police are looking for an 11 year old white female named Jessica Smith. Jessica is 5’01 approximately 120 pounds with brown eyes and straight brown hair just passed her shoulders in length. Jessica was not wearing glasses at the time of her abduction.

Jessica was taken by her mother Kimberly Smith, a white female. Kimberly’s date of birth is 11-17-1969. Kimberly is 5’02 approximately 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Kimberly has a tattoo of a cross on the back of her neck along with a decorative tattoo on her back.
