Hounds honored in baseball by LSC

RICHARDSON, Texas — Eastern New Mexico University's Luis Quinones and Ryan Boydstun have been named the Lone Star Conference's co-player and co-pitcher of the week.

Quinones, a junior left fielder from Las Cruces, went 5-for-12 with five RBIs last weekend as the Greyhounds went 2-1 in the season-opening UTPB Classic, hosted by Texas-Permian Basin at Odessa, Texas.

Boydstun, a freshman right-hander from La Quinta, Calif., limited preseason LSC favorite Incarnate Word to one run on three hits with six strikeouts over six innings in a 2-1 victory.
