Police blotter - Feb. 28

Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

  • Around 8:30 a.m. Feb. 20 an officer responded to a call in reference to criminal damage in the 3100 block of Mandell Circle.

The officer observed one vehicle tagged with orange spray paint and another with spray paint on the driver's side and on the back. No suspect information was obtained.

  • Around 6:45 p.m. Feb. 21 a two-vehicle traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Llano Estacado and Prince streets. One vehicle sustained heavy damage to the left rear tire and wheel being crushed.

The vehicle's rear axle was broken and the gas tank was hanging. The other vehicle also sustained major damage to its front end. Its left side was smashed in, its radiator was damaged and its windshield was cracked.

Both drivers were transported to Plains Regional Medical Center.

  • Around 8:28 a.m. Feb. 20 an officer responded to the 300 block of Gayland to investigate vehicle damage.

A male told the officer that his tire on the passenger's side of the vehicle was flat and had a puncture mark. A female at the same residence said her vehicle was damaged in the same location. The female said the neighbor's vehicle was also damaged on the passenger rear tire.

While at the scene the officer noticed a third vehicle with damage to the right rear tire.

No suspect information was obtained.
