If your driving route takes you through southwest Clovis, get set to stop a little more often.
The city is installing 39 stop signs in the area surrounded by Eighth, Cameo, 14th and Reid streets over the next few months.

This stop sign at Ninth and Hull Streets will move from Ninth Street to Hull Street as part of a series of traffic changes in the area. The city is planning to add 39 new stop signs in the area over the next few months.
City Engineer Justin Howalt said citizens raised concerns about the intersection of 10th and Cameo streets.
"However, we are looking at the overall area instead of isolating it to one intersection," Howalt said. "We then will come up with a plan that will be implemented based on the available funding."
The changes, previously approved by the public works committee, will start on Eighth Street, with work proceeding north until it is completed on 14th Street.
