Logan officials file injunction against Ute Water Project

The village of Logan filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday asking for an injunction to stop all construction on the Ute Water Project.

The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque also seeks an injuction to force the Eastern New Mexico Water Utility Authority to complete an environmental impact statement (EIS) on the project. Lawyers for Logan said they also want an injuction to stop all further investment in the project until the EIS completed.
