Former Cannon commander assigned to Kirtland

Brig. Gen. Scott D. West, former Cannon Air Force Base commander, has been assigned as commander of the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, according to a Department of Defense press release.

West is deputy director, operations, plans, programs and requirements, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

West served as the commander of the 27th Fighter Wing at Cannon from March 2006 to October 2007, when the base was converted into the 27th Special Operations Wing.
