Ex-ENMU coach, AD Lees honored by NCAA

Former Eastern New Mexico University football coach and athletic director B.B. Lees was recognized by the NCAA earlier this year for his time as chairman of the NCAA Division II national basketball tournament committee.

Lee served in that role from 1990-93. He and fellow committee members were honored in March during the men's Elite Eight at Highland Heights, Ky.

Lee served the ENMU athletic department for 37 years as a coach, faculty member and administration, including 18 years as the AD. He coached numerous teams during his tenure and took the school's golf team to 12 consecutive NAIA District VII championships.

He was induced into ENMU's Hall of honors in 1994, and the following year he was elected to the NAIA's Hall of Fame as a golf coach.
