Cannon observes Wing Safety Day

The 27th Special Operations Wing hosted a base-wide safety day May 18 at Cannon Air Force Base.

Air Commandos participate in a motorcycle ride during safety day May 18 at Cannon Air Force Base. More than 30 motorcycles zoomed across the flightline before concluding the ride in front of the wing headquarters building.

In addition to organized sporting events, a 5K run and an information fair at the Landing Zone, the wing also held a motorcycle ride around base and on the Cannon flightline. More than 30 motorcycles zoomed across the flightline before concluding the ride in front of the wing headquarters building.

Before the ride, dozens of runners came out in full force to take part in the 5K safety run. Capt. Ken Corigliano, 56th Intelligence Squadron and Air Commando of the Month for April (Physical Fitness), took first place.

Members of the Cannon community were also able to visit the club and gather safety information from organizations such as Airmen Against Drunk Driving, the Red Cross, the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator and the Voluntary Protection Program.
