Connie Crawford, president, CEO and designer for Fashion Patterns by Coni, will demonstrate how to design and fit strapless gowns by showing various bustier styles that illustrate the most common variations. She's from Hansville, Wash.
Sue Hausmann is with Sulky of America, Inc., and she's going to share some tips and techniques for using stabilizers in craft projects. She'll talk about making belts, totes, placemats and other crafts that incorporate various types of stabilizers. She lives in Green Valley, Ariz.
Information on masculine ways to decorate a home office, making gift items, and preparing some quick and healthy appetizers will be the featured topics on "Creative Living" noon on Tuesday and 2 p.m. on Saturday. (All times are Mountain.)
According to decorating expert and spokesperson for Hewlett Packard, Deborah Durham, it's sometimes hard to think of masculine ways to decorate a home office. She'll show how to make a bulletin board, mouse pad, magnets and even more — all featuring a "fisherman's theme." Durham lives in Santa Fe.
Tera Leigh, Paintability, will demonstrate how to create some beautiful gift items using acrylic paints, stencils and an applicator that is similar to a rubber stamp. It's so easy; she guarantees anyone can do it! Leigh is from Carlsbad, Calif.
Cookbook author, Kay Davis will demonstrate how to prepare some quick and healthy appetizers that kids will love. These are based on her newest cookbook, "Remember When We Cooked." She lives in Lubbock.
Guilt-Free Snack Chips
1 pkg. (10 ozs.) flour tortillas
1/4 cup low-calorie Italian salad dressing
Garlic salt or salt-free herb and spice blend
Preheat oven to 325° F. Cut each tortilla into eighths. Spread on a baking sheet lightly sprayed with cooking spray. Using a pastry brush, brush salad dressing over tops of tortilla chips. Sprinkle with garlic salt or herb blend. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container. Makes about 7 cups of chips.
