A case of yard work ADD

It was Sunday at the Stucco Hacienda, the weather was nice, it was time to get some yard work done.

"Are you ready?" asked The Lady of the House.

"You betcha!" I said.

"Okay, I need you to pull up the sunflowers," said The Lady of the House.

After a few minutes I realized I had dressed too warmly.

"I'm going inside to change into something cooler," I said.

"Yes dear," said The Lady of the House, pulling weeds.

I came back out and headed toward the sunflowers when I spotted a huge goathead plant. I yanked it up.

"Wow, look at this thing. You know I read if you dry it you can make a revitalizing tonic tea from it. I'm thirsty. You thirsty?

I'm going in for some water."

"No thank you," said The Lady of the House, sweeping the porch.

Leaving the house I moseyed back to the sunflowers and was struck by the condition of the grapevines.

"Did you see these grape leaves?" I called out to The Lady of the House. "They look pretty bad."

"They're dying dear, it's fall," she said, trimming the roses.

"Oh," I said. I thought of how the vines were so summer green and now turning autumn gold and yellow. I remembered that song from "The Lion King."

"THE CIRCLE OF LIFE…" I sang out loud. I stopped. "Oh, I need to go to the bathroom. Be right back."

"Yes dear," said The Lady of the House, raking leaves.

All my needs met, I hummed away as I pulled the last of the

sunflowers and dragged them off to the trash receptacle..

"There!" I said, feeling like I'd put a big dent in the yard chores. "What's next? Bring it on!"

"It's all done dear," said The Lady of the House, handing me a tall glass of iced tea. "Thanks for all your help."
